On 1st December, we celebrated our developer, Warwick Booth’s, 10-year anniversary with the company. We are extremely happy and proud that he has stuck with us for so long, thank you for everything Warwick!
We have had a very exciting year of continuing to build innovative new WordPress websites for our clients – take a look at our Portfolio to see what we’ve been up to.
Another very proud achievement in the past year was being accepted as part of the WooExpert program.
We have now been part of it for over 1 year, moving up to the Silver tier recently. Read more about it on our Services page. We are the only company in South Africa that is a registered WooExpert!
This program has made a huge difference to LightSpeed’s experience and credibility in this area.
As a result of joining the WooExpert program, the WooCommerce team referred LightSpeed to MailChimp to join their program. Joining this expert program has opened some incredible opportunities up for us. Again, we are the only registered MailChimp expert in South Africa. Read more about it on our Services page.
On the website security front, our very talented and visionary systems administrator and network architect, Chris, predicted the importance of installing SSL certificates on all the websites we host a couple of years back already. We use Let’s Encrypt technology to configure SSL certificates on the website we host. We will therefore be making contact with all those clients who have not already had an SSL certificate configured on their sites early in 2017.
Important information regarding our office closure over the holiday season:
We’d like to give you a quick heads-up on some upcoming dates for some much-needed down-time for the LightSpeed team.
We will be closing our office from Friday 23rd December 2016 to Tuesday 3rd January 2015 (inclusive). We will resume business on Wednesday 4th January 2017.
If you have any urgent requests for work on your website please try to let us know by 12th December and we’ll do our best to assist before we close.
Over the period that the office is closed our support desk will be monitored so if you have any urgent requirements or queries please email our Support desk on email@example.com and a support staff member will respond as soon as they can.
