A love of life and a life of curiosity are what guide Maison Noir: Deeply personal, this mind-set marks the journey to creating Maison Noir. Arriving in Cape Town for the first time, one is instantly transported — the light and air, the faces and feeling — it is a place rooted in centuries of being ‘right here and now’. Cape Town has always held a comfort for travellers and collectors of experiences. Maison Noir captures this global feeling combining it with a feeling of having the outdoors indoors.
Maison Noir is more than just a destination, but an experience too. They wanted their site to convey the message that Maison Noir is more than just a Villa because there is a full restaurant and soon to be a spa on their premises.
To ensure that the Maison Noir website is search engine optimised we created a blog for them to create fresh content as needed since fresh, frequently updated content is a boon for SEO and higher rankings. Mobile optimisation was performed to ensure that the site would display properly on all mobile devices. This was especially important for the website’s homepage which has several dynamic, animated video elements which were not previously working on mobile.
Extensive cross-browser testing and fixing was performed to ensure that the website works properly on Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox. IE
LightSpeed built a responsive website that uses rich media to showcase the full Maison Noir experience. Videos and other dynamic elements that work across all devices and browsers serve to show visitors what level of luxury they can expect from this establishment.
