Skyway Trails

The company


Based in Mpumulanga, South Africa, SkyWay trails provide a selection of outdoor adventure activities including aerial cable trails that run through tree-top canopies.

The challenge


Because SkyWay Trails already had a website, they wanted the previous website upgraded with a more modern look and feel as well as improved functionality and usability.  We built the site using design assets provided by the client, allowing us to focus solely on developing the site using our WordPress theme, LSX.

The client wanted clear and eye catching call-to-action buttons to make it clear to the user where they should click (or tap, on mobile) to complete bookings on ActivityBridge, enquiries or to get in touch with SkyWay Trails.

We created separate modal enquiry forms for their two activities (“Aerial Cable Trail” and “Tree Top Challenge”) using Caldera Forms so that forms filled in on a particular location page would go to the appropriate office and send the enquirer a notification of receipt tailored to that activity.

Because we built the site using LSX, the site is fully responsive and displays perfectly on every display size and device.  Using the LSX theme also ensures that the load time and user experience of the site for visitors browsing on mobile devices is optimal.

When tapped on from a mobile device, the “Call” button we built will open a devices dial-pad with the phone number of the relevant branch.

We used JetPack image galleries rather than the default WordPress image gallery. WordPress galleries are alright, but JetPack allowed us to use their wealth of different gallery styles to find the layout that worked best according to the assets the client provided.

We also provided PPC marketing services, reviewing and maintaining their Google AdWords campaign to ensure that a constant flow of qualified visitors are directed to their website.

The Solution


LightSpeed built a website that showcased the SkyWay Trails adventure activities in an attractive and easy to navigate manner. We added call to action booking buttons on appropriate pages that aim to increase inquiries and have displayed galleries of images portraying the activities in action.
