Tuis Magazine, a Media24 title specialising in home craft such as DIY, decor and gardening, sought a website which could provide a series of ten masterclasses in the art of chalk painting.
The requirement of this website was to pull together a suite of solutions that could cater to a need for a payment gateway, serve instructional videos via member-only access, and enable subscribers to download course materials to make use of in their own time, offline. Each of the ten masterclasses would be viewed online, and subscribers would be able to download course material to make use of as they progressed through the course and applied the skills they had learned.
In achieving the aims of the project, website design and development was delivered by our team using our versatile LSX theme, checkout was handled by WooCommerce, and PayStack provided the payment gateway. To enable member-only access to competition forms and masterclass content pages, WooCommerce Memberships provided an integrated content and product solution, while WooCommerce Sensei, in combination with Vimeo Pro, enabled the course content to be served to users. Using Vimeo Pro, the video content was only visible privately and was restricted to the site domain – though paid access members were able to download videos as and when required, for offline study and reference.
