WordCamp Cape Town 2011 has been a great success.

It was a great day packed to the brim with WordPress goodness, where passionate WordPress aficionados had the opportunity to mingle and discuss the world’s favorite CMS and blogging platform, enjoy sessions by leading local and international WordPress entrepreneurs (WooThemes, Obox and GetShopped where in attendance, among others) and a lucky few walked away with some great prizes (e-Commerce themes, mobile phones, and various WordPress related developer memberships)

As the organizer LightSpeed wants to thank everyone involved – the sponsors, speakers, volunteers and attendees – for making WordCamp such a great event this year. We had a great time and we’re sure that you all did as well.

More to come in 2012

LightSpeed has committed to bringing WordCamp back to Cape Town next year mid September. We want to build on the success of this year’s event and push WordPress awareness and community in South Africa to the next level. We want to expand WordCamp 2012 to a two day event, with more speakers and workshops.

So, even though it’s still almost a year away, we want to put out the call for anyone interested in co-organizing, sponsoring, speaking or volunteering at WordCamp Cape Town 2012 to fill out the form HERE and let us here from you.
